Decorative Pottery
Treatment Goals:
This pottery was broken into two pieces. And the tip was missing. The owner wanted a new tip for it:

Dust clean the object

Adhere the broken parts

Create a new sandy tip

Retouch the surface
Adhesion

Adhere to the detached parts.

To ensure the alignment, we used wax glue keep the fragment stay aligned.

Use padding at base to avoid any physical damage.
Create a new tip

Use epoxy putty, tinted to the close colour.
-
Mould the tip
Retouching
-
grin sand and dye sand for applying onto the new cast.
-
Then retouch the joints.
