Ceramic Conservation Internship

Having a fruitful internship at the studio was absolutely satisfying! Ceramic has a complex nature. Considering its physical structure, physical force and material nature decides the appropriate conservation strategies. Let's have a look at two of my conserved ceramics!

Ceramic Warrior

It is a Majolica created by Nicolò Giuliano. It was fired with third and fourth firing techniques to give that unique brightness and color.

Clarice Cliff Pottery

A decorated pot in House and Bridge made by artist Clarice Cliff. Very boldly decorated with strong colours and freeform patterns.
